2012

January

Australia Day weekend, Stewarts Brook, on the edge of Barrington Tops NP.

Thursday (Aust Day Jan. 26th) through to Sunday 29th Jan.

Some of us will go up Thursday 26th, and others that have to work Friday can come up Friday night or Sat morning.

Camping will be on a level block belonging to Mal & Yoki, there is a well equipped shed - camp kitchen, long drop loo and a wood fire shower. No van power, a nearby water supply (not mains). A donation is to be paid but at this stage the amount is not known, it will not be excessive.

Side trips will be available through some fantastic country, and if we ask Mal nicely he may put on a good drive, however Mal's drives are not for whimps (he was a successful Malaysian Mud Challenge driver on several occasions).

Caravans can get into the property with care.

Warning there are 4 creek crossings, normally shallow (10-15cm (4-6 inches)), but in flood may be impassable.
