Our November monthly meting was held at the

CareFlight Hanger Westmead 4/11/09

With monies collected  through fund raising etc. we donated $1000 to CareFlight this year.

It was an enlightening visit and we got to meet the entire crew and was treated to a demo of some of the trauma equipment used by the doctors and paramedics during their daily work, the kids had fun having the mini Ultrasound device used to check their airways (see pix)

Keep up the great work CareFlight, we (RareBreed Club) are proud to support your efforts.

Vehicle Modifications ruling, news.

Hi All,

I am pleased to advise that following a meeting today, the Minister has announced this evening that the introduction of the proposed new regulations will be delayed to allow more time to consult with industry and community groups. A working party is now being established which will consist of Four Wheel Drive NSW & ACT, the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) and other agencies and experts as needed.

Therefore, until the working party makes its recommendations, it is business as usual. This means:
- If your vehicle is registered and legally modified, you are legal and should continue all your normal activities.
- If you are in the process of modifying your vehicle, you should continue and conform to existing regulations.
- If you encounter indecision about registering your vehicle, let us know.

The working party will determine in cooperation with the RTA, the basis and rules for future modifications and ensure that the rules are properly communicated and in place to ensure everyone fully understands what is required. We will be aiming to ensure that the basis of those rules is soundly based and represents good practice in the 4WD community and is not penalising responsible 4WD owners.

Regards
Greg Redfern, President
