I arrived at the meeting place @ 8.15am, 15 min early, to be greeted by all the others ready and assembled, BUGGER.

We waited a little while for friends of Lindsay the failed to arrive, so Lindsay said  lets go they have not arrived by the departure time.

It was a beautiful morning with just a hint of cloud and mild temps. We proceeded to Comleroy rd. and followed that along to a nice camp area at Wheeny Ck. and stopped for a while to take in the beauty of the place. Leaving there it was a short drive to Colo Church and graveyard where we stopped for morning Tea and had a look around the Graveyard. It's only a small yard and not many visible graves but most were quite old.

Refreshed and ready to go we slowly meandered along the banks of the Colo River, under the Putty Rd toward Portland and the confluence of the Colo & Hawkesbury rivers along some pretty and quite and twisting back roads, in fact we saw very few cars indeed, & we travelled past some very scenic landscape indeed.

At Portland we stayed on the northern bank of the Hawkesbury through some lovely country and came out again at Webb's Ck. (ferry). We did not cross the river there but drove along the MacDonald Rv. to St Albans and the Settlers Arms hotel. Setting up "camp" in the park out side the pub.

We spent a very pleasant couple of hours there. Leaving there we headed to Wiseman's Ferry and intended to stop at the pub for a quite drink and then head home but the place was so packed we would never have found parking for us all so we followed the Hawkesbury a little further on the Old Singleton Rd and cut back to the Northern road near the Pitt Town Cattai Rd intersection. Trip over there we all said our goodbye's and headed our separate ways.

Thanks to all that attended, it was a very pleasant day out.

Colin & Renate.
